There are no paid vacancies at present. However if you have a few hours to spare please consider volunteering for us. There is a wide range of ways you can help HART, some more mucky than others but all vital!
ANIMAL CARERS
We are always looking for people who can volunteer regularly, from as little as one morning or evening a week, to help with the everyday duties that are involved with looking after and feeding the injured and sick animals. Please bear in mind some of this hands-on work is cleaning cages and hutches; it can be pretty dirty work!
FUNDRAISERS
This could be helping with stalls at fetes and shows, or organising your own fundraising event such as a coffee morning or sponsored walk. We are always looking for new fundraising ideas, so please get in touch.
We also need volunteers to work in both our Andover shop and Alton shop.
CASUALTY COLLECTIONS
We need volunteer drivers from all areas who can pick up small casualties from their local area and bring them over to us, as we often get calls from people who have found a casualty but are unable to bring it to us. Unfortunately we do not have enough staff, vehicles or time to collect them all, and so volunteer drivers are an essential part of the service we offer.
MAINTENANCE
Now we have moved to the new site in Medstead we need help with maintenance of both the building and the outside areas. Do you have some DIY or gardening expertise we could put to good use?
ADMINISTRATION
There are a variety of administrative tasks we need help with, from processing membership applications and completing grant applications to record keeping and general correspondence.
If you would like to help, please get in touch.
Due to insurance stipulations all volunteers must be aged at least 16 years old.
