March 2017 News

Today we collected this little pipistrelle bat, which was found hanging on the side of a local house. He is very underweight and has come out of hibernation a bit early, then was caught out by the cold weather. He is now warmed up and really appreciated his dinner!

These two are miracle baby pigeons! They came in with little sign of life, cold and wet, after their nest was jet washed down. We quickly warmed them up in our hands and amazingly they slowly came back to life, starting to gasp for breath, and moving more. They seem to be fully recovered now as if nothing happened so we hope they will be fine long term!

Spring has arrived this week!

We started with a little bunny, then on Monday we began hand-rearing three baby squirrels. Yesterday we took in our first teeny tiny garden bird (we think a blackbird!), which was a lucky survivor after a cat found the nest. We need your support though, to help supply us with the food and other items used to look after these babies and more! If you can donate an item from our Amazon wish list we would be so grateful! Wild bird seed and Esbilac are currently needed the most, thank you.
